I have been artistic in one way or another most of my life. I am a curious person who can survive on wonder and imagination most days. As I enter into this period of my life I feel the need to express my internal world. Through expressing my inner self I hope to learn and grow as a person.

In my small rural studio, my journey as a self-taught artist is driven by the landscape, creatures, and people that surround me. As a painter just beginning my professional journey, I am fuelled by the raw excitement of finding my visual voice and the deep desire to share it with others.

I started with watercolours as I played with them as a child. But lately I am finding acrylics more enjoyable, or even better, a mix of both mediums. The smooth buttery richness of oil paint is still a romantic notion to be discovered. At the moment I feel like my Beagle when she gets overwhelmed by smells and doesn’t know which direction to run in. I am not sure where my painting journey will take me at the moment, as my personal style is yet to be fully revealed.

Time will tell, in the meantime I will cherish the process.
